Privacy Policy
Short version
Your files and text never leave your browser. Every tool on this site runs as JavaScript in the page. There is no upload, no server-side processing, and no copy of your content stored anywhere.
What that means concretely
- No upload. When you paste Markdown or pick a file, it is read by your browser’s own
FileReaderAPI. Nothing is sent over the network. - No account, no email. There is nothing to sign up for and we never ask for an address.
- No content storage. We cannot read your documents, because they are never transmitted to us.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Today: this site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising script. That is why the tools keep working with the network disconnected.
When advertising is enabled: this site intends to display advertising served by Google AdSense, and this section describes that state in advance rather than after the fact.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Visitors can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookie is set, and no personalised advertising is served without consent.
No advertising script is added to this site without this page being updated in the same change.
Third-party code
Three tools use open-source libraries, served from this site itself under
/js/vendor/ — not from an external CDN:
| Library | Licence | Used by |
|---|---|---|
| marked | MIT | Markdown to HTML, Markdown to PDF |
| Turndown | MIT | HTML to Markdown |
| html2pdf.js | MIT | Markdown to PDF export |
The four table tools use no library at all; the parsers are written into the page. Because
nothing is fetched from a third-party host, no third party sees your IP address or user
agent when you use these tools. Licence texts are in /js/vendor/LICENSES.txt.
